在艺术家凌健看来，“艺术”这个名词在今天已经变得多元化，它神圣的外衣已经伴随着时代的进化而失去了纯洁的本意，而越来越多地被社会功利玷污，因而，对艺术的质疑就成为艺术家首先要面对的现实。如何在它坦露的躯体上察觉到它的永恒性？质疑，是凌健个人对艺术创作的一种态度。信仰艺术是因为无法找到它的起源，它像天使与魔鬼，随时交替着身份，正如我们所有人都会希望天使能战胜魔鬼，所以凌健也希望“信仰”艺术最终会战胜“质疑”艺术。
According to artist Ling Jian, Art today has become very diverse nowadays. As we enter into a modern age, the sacred image of art has lost its purity, art has been tainted by various desires in society. For this reason, one of the things artist must face nowadays is to question about art. How to explore the eternity of art? Questioning is the attitude
Ling Jian has towards art creation. We believe in art for we can’t find its origin, art acts like both an angel and an evil - it swops its identity anytime. Thus Ling Jian wishes that “Believable” art will finally win over“ questionable” art.
