像打量人生一般去观看我们周遭的事物，韩旭成的作品从菜园里一棵简单的大白菜开始，通过描述它的生长与湮灭，发现辉煌的背后才是事物最美的部分，由此，韩旭成逐渐建立起自己的艺术叙事风格。在他的作品中，事物原有的物质属性被异化了，内在的符号重新构建艺术家对欲望、工业化和大众传媒的认识。本次展览希望给我们呈现的，就是这些令人震撼的物象之中沉淀下来的、艺术家对于物欲社会的思考。

The subject of Han Xucheng’s paintings is often a simple cabbage. By depicting the process of a dying vegetable, Han excavates the essential beauty of the subject often ignored by us. In his paintings, we see the decayed vegetables turn into pure jade-like images, reflecting issues of contemporary society such as desire,industrialization and media explosion. It is
through this unusual expression medium, Han Xucheng developed his own artistic language.
