Traditional Chinese culture and arts, nurtured over thousands of years, are our precious heritage. "Goodbye: Tradition." In China, "Goodbye" not only represents "sadness as time goes by", but also means "meet again in the future". It symbolizes an end, as well as a beginning. Prof. Lv Shengzhong, who has been invited to give a lecture in the Today Art Platform Lecture Series, will show us the transformation of traditional language in modern society based on Chinese traditional culture and his own art.
Lv Shengzhong, born in Shandong province in 1952, currently teaches at China Central Academy of Fine Arts. His unique contemporary works inspired by traditional Chinese paper-cuts, gives audiences a strong visual impact.
