金九银十的上海，舒爽宜人，本年度国庆节一个适合上海市民全家人参观的展览—米菲父亲 － 迪克布鲁纳先生八十寿辰纪念展’，经过精心准备，今天在上海图书馆隆重开幕。

    2007年是荷兰著名画家迪克布鲁纳先生（Dick Bruna）80寿辰，又逢中荷建交35周年。为庆祝布鲁纳先生寿辰，以及感谢老先生为世界儿童创作丰富的书画作品和促进儿童成长教育方面做出的卓越贡献，由dick bruna china主办，荷兰王国驻上海总领事馆支持的名为 ‘米菲父亲—迪克布鲁纳先生八十寿辰纪念展’，将以公益展览形式在上海图书馆1号展馆免费为市民开放。展览期为9月28日至10月10日，时值国庆黄金周，希望能借此展览丰富十一期间上海市民的文化艺术生活和提供全家人出行的好去处。

    迪克布鲁纳先生是荷兰著名的艺术家之一。他享誉全球的主要原因是因为他创造了米菲（miffy），一只线条简单的小兔。迪克布鲁纳先生不仅是小兔米菲的父亲，而且还是一位在绘画艺术、儿童教育以及慈善事业等领域有着杰出贡献的艺术家。自1953年至今，迪克布鲁纳先生创作了2500多幅插画，他的著作也已经被翻译成40多种语言，而且全球销量累计超过8500万本。荷兰乌得勒支（Utrecht）市的中央图书馆从2000年开始更特别开辟了永久性的迪克布鲁纳作品展览厅。

    本次迪克布鲁纳先生的作品是首次籍庆寿纪念形式在中国展出，展览中将展出老先生多幅作品和手稿，以及作家成长、绘画过程等珍贵图片资料。这个纪念展相信是喜爱米菲的朋友们了解米菲父亲不容错过的机会。此外，为了将寓教于乐贯穿展览当中，同场还准备了儿童互动环节：如米菲播放室，米菲书籍阅读角，儿童暑期绘画得奖作品展示等。

    在今天的展览开幕仪式上，荷兰驻上海领事馆副总领事林似海先生( Mr. Leo Linscheer)、上海图书馆展览部主任杨泰伟先生、dick bruna japan设计部经理堺泽瑞穗小姐（Ms. Mizuho Sakaizawa）、dick bruna china营运总监黎燕嫦小姐和小兔米菲都应邀出席了开幕剪彩典礼。在轻松愉快的气氛中，dick bruna japan设计部经理堺泽瑞穗小姐和dick bruna china营运总监黎燕嫦小姐代表迪克布鲁纳先生，向上海图书馆赠送了他的十本图书作品，并得到上海图书馆颁发的收藏证书。全体在场人员对这位对艺术执着追求、对儿童充满爱心的艺术家送去最热烈的掌声。而且，同场出席的复旦中学同学们特别为布鲁纳先生送上一张庆生贺卡，由小兔米菲代为接受。

    本次展览不但送上了对迪克布鲁纳先生的生日祝福，同时也表达了中国与荷兰两国在艺术文化领域的展示与交流。

miffy’s father – Mr. Dick Bruna 80th Birthday Exhibition is held in Shanghai
An event that suitable for families in the 2007 October golden week holidays

The lovely autumn season in Shanghai has an exhibition that suitable for families:
‘miffy’s father — Mr. Dick Bruna 80th Birthday Exhibition’ opens in Shanghai Library today.

Year 2007 is the 80th birthday of the renowned Dutch artist, Mr. Dick Bruna, and is also the 35th anniversary of the diplomatic relations of China and the Netherlands. To celebrate Mr. Bruna’s birthday and to thank him for his contribution to children’s education, an exhibition named ‘miffy’s father – Mr. Dick Bruna 80th Birthday Exhibition’, organized by dick bruna china and supported by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is held on September 28 to October 10, 2007 in Shanghai Library Exhibition Hall 1, open to public free.

Mr. Dick Bruna is one of the Netherlands’ most celebrated artists. His worldwide recognition is largely due to his character miffy, a bunny-rabbit drawn in clear simple lines. Besides miffy, Mr. Bruna has great contribution to children’s picture books and supported humanitarian organizations. Since 1953, Mr. Bruna has created over 2500 illustrations, and his picture books have been translated into over 40 languages with worldwide sales of 85 million books. From the housing of permanent exhibition of Mr. Bruna’s work in the Centraal Museum in Utrecht since 2000, we know that the work of Mr. Bruna is true art.

This is the first exhibition of Mr. Bruna’s drawings and sketches in China. Apart from his work, there are also Mr. Bruna’s childhood and family pictures and milestones of his career on display; various interactive activities for kids such as reading and drawing corners, as well as animation corner are also included. The winning drawings of the summer event ‘Hand-in-hand with miffy to see Shanghai’ are also on display.

Today, the Deputy Consul-General of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Leo Linscheer, Chief of Exhibition Department of Shanghai Library, Mr. Tai-Wei Yang, Manager of Design Department of dick bruna japan, Ms. Mizuho Sakaizawa, Operation Director of dick bruna china, Ms. Rachel Lai, and miffy have attended the ribbon cutting ceremony. In the pleasant atmosphere, on behalf of Mr. Bruna, Ms. Sakaizawa and Ms. Lai present 10 picture books to the Shanghai Library. Besides, students from Fudan Secondary School present a birthday card to Mr. Bruna.

This exhibition not only delivered the birthday greetings to Mr. Bruna, it is also the great opportunity for cultural exchange between China and the Netherlands.
