本地漫画家智海，自九七年出版首作《The Writer》起至今十年，计有个人作品集三部及合集数种，产量虽不算非常丰饶，然作品题材凝重艰涩，风格沉郁独特，表达内敛深刻，越趋成熟，为漫画界不能或缺的一员，日渐受到广泛注视。
继「漫画工地」后，艺术中心又一精心呈献︰《喝咤！智海漫画十年展！》。
两年的「漫画工地」计划刚完满结束，我们以此为推广本土漫画创意的起点，如今再下一城，重点介绍个别香港漫画人的独特画风。这次请来被台湾形容为「香港漫画奇才」的智海举行个展，剖析这个徘徊于漫画与文学的艺术家的十年创作路。展览破天荒于艺术中心实验画廊、三联书店湾仔分庄士敦店及lulahoop画廊同步举行，来势汹汹，岂能错过！
Since the publication of The Writer in 1997, local comic artist Chihoi has published three individual comic books and several collective comics in the last ten years. Not a rich corpus of published works, certainly; but the subject matters are heavy and thorny, the style is somber and unique, the language is subtle and incisive. Each publication surpasses its precedent in terms of maturity. Today, Chihoi is one of the most prominent artists in Hong Kong comics, gaining intensive attention from the public.
As a continuation of Comix Home Base, the Hong Kong Arts Centre is proud to present the next wave, Hochaaa! Chihoi’s Comics, 10-Year Retrospective!
The two-year Comix Home Base project just has had its curtain call, but it could also be seen as a prelude to the promotion of local creativity in the field of comics. Now, individual artists will take the centre stage to show their uniqueness. The first show is attributed to Chihoi, “the wizard of Hong Kong Comics”, as the Taiwanese press called him. It will trace the 10-year evolution of an artist who lived his art on the threshold between Literature and Comics. A real breakthrough in the exhibition format as well. The show will be presented concomitantly in the Experimental Gallery of Hong Kong Arts Centre, the JP Books (Johnston Road, Wanchai) and Hulahoop Gallery. Definitely a show not to be missed!

智海漫画，除了为人认识的《默示录》、《The Writer And Her Story》、《Piece of Mind》外，还有收录于合集《和味龙》、《香港春卷》等短篇漫画，更有发表海外但在本港从未曝光的作品，尽在本展览大列阵。从一张画纸、一枝笔、一台打字机开始，展示漫画的制作过程，让观众透视一篇漫画的诞生，见证一位漫画家的十年进化。同场加展︰新鲜热辣上月于台湾出版、智海与当地文坛大师鸿鸿连手制作的视觉诗篇《灰掐》的诗画原稿。两人有缘相识，源自艺术中心，第一次合作的成果，自然要回归此地。
Other than the well-known works such as Still Life , The Writer and Her Story, Piece of Mind, the exhibition assembles Chihoi’s short stories published in collective publications, such as Yummy Dragon and Springrolllll, as well as works published overseas but first time to be seen in Hong Kong. Starting from a pen, a piece of paper and a typewriter, audience will witness the process of production of a comic work and the ten-year evolution of a great comic artist. Extra for the show are the manuscripts of a hot and fresh production issued last month in Taiwan The Train, co-executed by Chihoi and the Taiwanese writer Hung Hung. The first encounter of the two artists was in the Hong Kong Arts Centre, so will their first co-production.

二零零五年起，智海与漫画家江康泉展开合作计划，以多位香港文学家的作品为蓝本进行漫画创作，最近辑成重量级漫画集《大骑劫──漫画香港文学》，正引发一场漫画与文学的激烈对话。两人编写及绘制漫画的技法层出不穷，令人叹服，本展览将展出漫画手稿，让公众一睹作品的光芒，并藉此重新发掘本地文学的丰富宝藏。
The two comic artists, Chihoi and Kongkee, has started a collaborative project since 2005 in which they explored different comics forms based on the literary work of Hong Kong writers. The fruit is the issue of The Great Hijack – Comic Hong Kong Literature. An interesting hot debate is going to explode among the comic artists and writers. The richness in visual storytelling and in styles of the two artists is amazing. The exhibition will be based on the precious manuscript of the two artists and aims at a new revelation of the richness of Hong Kong Literature.

随着中国当代艺术逐渐被国际认同，新一代的年青艺术家对以往的固有观念提出质疑，《中国新摄影》就尝试呈现出这种正不断爆发及膨涨的中国新一代摄影趋势。
从精致艺术（High Art）的摄影、新闻摄影到网络部落格，三十位中国新晋摄影师带领我们走过其间许许多多的中介地带；从过去二十多年来国家的经济及社会转变状况底下一路走来，卸下了固有的意识形态，由影像出发，作出不同程度的尝试，让我们看到现今处于转变当中的中国摄影新力量。
As international interest in contemporary Chinese art intensifies, the exhibition New Photography in China attempts to highlight an emerging generation of young artists who are challenging accepted ideas about the character and function of art in China.
The exhibition presents the work of almost thirty Chinese photographers under the age of thirty. From High Art photography and photojournalism to guerrilla-style image making on web-blogs and personal websites, they attempt to capture the diversity and energy of a creative scene in transition. Seen together they project a complex vision of contemporary China and a new generation of young photographers, unburdened by ideology and immersed in the economic and social changes that have transformed their country over the past twenty years.

香港艺术学院本年度的毕业展将于1月举行，超过一百七十位分别来自纯艺术、应用艺术及媒体艺术的毕业生将于包氏画廊、实验画廊、赛马会艺廊及Agnès b.电影院展出毕业作品，将多年来的学习成果呈现于观众眼前。毕业同学所展出的作品类型及题材多样化，当中包括有绘画、雕塑、陶瓷、摄影作品，又有计算机动画、数码录像及平面设计等作品，定必令观众目不暇给。
The Graduation Exhibition of Hong Kong Art School will be held in January this year, more than 170 graduates from Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Media Arts will participate in the exhibition and display their works in the Pao Galleries, Experimental Gallery, Jockey Club Gallery and Agnès b. CINEMA! of Hong Kong Arts Centre. The theme and medium of the exhibits will be diversified, which included painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography; as well as computer animation, digital video and graphic design.

艺术家︰陈锦成、陈惠莲 /Artists: Chris Chan Kam-shing, Denise Chen Hui-lien
有些艺术家透过对物质结构的了解去认识宇宙及自身，从中探求真理和存在意义。艺术创作成为他们在现实中思想情感所反映的视觉证据，而作品就是他们建构世界的基础。二楼原作为了求证，邀请了两位香港艺术家 ─— 陈锦成和陈惠莲，透过各自对艺术创作的定义去了解世界。
陈锦成和陈惠莲同时于二零零六年艺术硕士毕业，前者的作品是透过物料的可变和不确定性，例如发泡乳胶及蓝矾（硫酸铜）结晶，去探索自我的存在和身体与外在世界的关系。后者则逃脱传统制约，利用陶土去混合其它物料，创出极具实验性的结果。
Some artists experiment with different materials in order to understand the environment and themselves, to discover truth and meaning. Art creation becomes a visual evidence of their emotional reflection on reality. Art works are the groundwork for artists to accumulate their knowledge. To substantiate this, TOO ART has invited two local artists – Chris Chan Kam-shing and Denise Chen Hui-lien to display their works. Through their individual definition of art, we attempt to see the world.
Chris and Denise both graduated from the Master of Fine Art programme in 2006. Chris uses variable and changeable materials, such as foam and cupric sulphate, to explore self-existence and the relationship between body and external environment. Denise succeeds in escaping the traditional clay conditions. She mixes clay with other materials and created the most unexpected results.

医院一向予人一种不宜久留的感觉，无论是进来覆诊或留医，总是希望尽快离开。所以「艺术在医院」借着举行艺术工作坊，如手工艺、水墨画、音乐及布艺等，帮助舒缓留院及覆诊的小朋友的情绪。是次展览将展出病童所创作的作品，及工作坊中的花絮。
The environment of hospital is always uninrifing. Patients stay for treatment or come for return visit usually do not want to stay long. Therefore, Art in Hospital has tailor-made a series of art workshops such as handicraft, ink painting, music and fabric art for children patients to easy their tense emotion. The exhibition will display artwork created in these workshops and also their documentation.

艺术家︰陆贞元 /Artists: Luk Tsing-yuen
着迷于物料的转化、解拆、从新建构，并把它与其它意义联系，将生活的小事和周遭的对象，转化成令人会心微笑的点滴。
每件对象总有它的象征意义和蕴含着个人信念。将周遭的对象，透过模塑，把它原本的颜色材料、内里的细胞和分子等一切杂质清，然后注入新的物料，随意或有条理的解拆和从新建构，试图把它和其它意义产生联系，甚至建构出新的意义，从而表达我对对象或事情的想法和感受：这可能是将儿时某事的从新建构，又或者是对某件生活小事的想法……
陆贞元现于香港理工大学修读美术及设计教育（荣誉）文学士学位课程。他毕业于澳洲皇家墨尔本理工大学，并取得艺术学士学位。他善于运用塑料化工原料（例如聚氨脂、环氧树脂）作为主要创作媒介，创造出立体作品。他亦曾经参与多个本地联展，包括「伙炭」（2003）、「一人一[ ]」（2004）、「学士学位(艺术)课程毕业展」（2005）、「东栋动 — 观塘艺术工作解构」（2006）、「默默密密」（2007）。
Passionately in transforming everyday-life objects: the alternation, deconstruction and reconstruction of materials, making logical connections between transformed objects and other meanings.
The transformed objects serve as media for expressing my thoughts and ideas.
Each real-life object contains its symbolic meaning and personal belief. Through the alternation of materials by casting process, the chaotic or orderly reconstructions of objects, the logical associations of the transformed object to other meanings, and even the reconstruction of meanings in the transformed object, I attempt to link my own interpretation, feeling, and personal stories into the object: it could be the reconstruction of certain memory in my childhood, or my personal thought to certain ordinary incident in everyday life…
Luk Tsing-yuen
He is studying BA (Hons) in Art and Design in Education at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University now and received his BA degree in Fine Art from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) in 2005. He specialises in 3-dimensional works with industrial plastic chemicals (e.g. polyurethane, epoxy resin). He participated in several local group exhibitions including Fotanian (2003), A Person A [ ] (2004), BA (Fine Art) Graduation Show (2005), Local East-Kowloon Art In Progress (2006), and Industry and Silence (2007).

漫画家。二千年中文大学艺术系毕业，零五年城市大学创意媒体学院硕士毕业。网上连载《饭气剧场》大获好评。漫画专栏散见《明报》、U-magazine、《东Touch》 、《明Teens’》、SCMP Young Post 、《成报》、《商报》等。着有漫画集《瑕疵鞋》系列。零七年与创作组织「廿九几」出版创作合集《所以美好》。其间亦有录像创作，零五年录像作品《胡眉的名字》，入选「香港艺术双年展2005」，并获「第十一届ifva公开组特别表扬奖」。www.shiningsummer.com
