Formed in the 'golden era' of collecting in the first half of the 20th century, this extraordinary collection of mirror paintings and English furniture graced Achamore House, Gigha, the home of Sir James and Lady Horlick in the Scottish Western Isles.

His passion for Chinoiserie is clearly illustrated in these beautifully coloured and wonderfully varied paintings complemented by fine English furniture from the 18th century.

Along with the furniture this is one of the largest collections of reverse mirror paintings and Chinoiserie to appear on the market and will enable a future generation of collectors to enjoy the beauty of these rare paintings.
