

墙里墙外
长风
俗话说得好“墙里开花墙外香”我用此来说明这次展览觉得有点意义,因为这次展览是一个邀请展,不含有主题性的色彩,没有一个统一的风格与主张,只是对于画廊来说的一种开幕展,但相对于每个艺术家来说都是作为独立的艺术面目而存在的。墙里墙外本身没有一种隔阂,只是在人心里面的那种门户的各自为阵罢了,花的幽香只有墙外的人知道吗?我们司空见惯的事实使自己难以认识自己身边美好的事物,而总觉得外边的世界很精彩。
在今天物质化的时代里,人的两面性越来越凸出,墙外的物欲庞杂,墙内的孤独自私,人和人之间的接触,交往从没像现在这样难以确定,传统意义上的交往是由于人的需求,身份构成的,而消费时代中,每个个体的人都成了一台消费社会的机器,如果说过去人的欲望是被政治而左右,那么现在人的欲望是被经济更重要的因素囚禁着,人无形中存在自我的囚禁与自我释放的夹缝中过活着。城市不在是传统意义的四方城池,用来抵御外敌入侵,而转化成一块块小盒子,并不断的向外扩张这些小盒子,城市所谓的文明是把墙的禁锢无形中缩小到个人的私立空间,这些狭小的空间被命名为家。每个家的墙上都有扇只能用钥匙才能打开的门,人由此才能获取一种象征性的安全和自由,人不再扮演动物群居的角色而属于自己,这如同监狱和囚禁不是绝对的,墙里墙外成了一种空洞的概念摆设一样?不一样的原因是墙里墙外景色不异,心境不同,墙里花园别墅,风景宜人,墙外恶俗一片。城市象欧洲,农村象非洲,混杂性的社会演义了当代艺术的多元化发展现状。
这次展出艺术家的绘画作品。都是以图象化方式表达生存境遇中各种矛盾冲突,不一样的形式说明艺术家对待生活态度的各异。艺术来源于生活但高于生活,艺术家应该和现实生活保持一定的距离感,距离越近伤害越深,距离产生美。艺术家的创作动向是直接从其现实生存处境所引起和汲取的,这个特点既有边缘性和游离式的自由选择,也有对现实的质疑和对现实提出问题。那么就不自觉地与时代的喧嚣保持一定的疏离状态。墙里墙外在现实生活中不是一种戒律,大多是无耐的选择,而对于当代艺术家来说是用什么钥匙打开那扇墙上的门是非常重要的事。

The Inside And The Outside Of The Wall

There is a folk saying that the flowers are blooming inside the wall but sweet-scented outside, I quoted this saying to explain that it’s meaningful this art exhibition which is only a no-subjected invitation exhibition for an openning of an art gallery, without a consentaneous style or purport, but the works of every involved artist are a separate art appearance. in fact there’s no estrangement inside and outside of the wall itself, it’s only because of people’ territoriality, the fragrance of the flowers only can be noticed by the people who outside the wall ? we are too close to and too familiar with the things around us, so which makes us difficult to notice the highlights of them, and makes us always think about that the
world out of our view must be much more attractive and colorful.
Modern age of substance exacerate the dilemma-personality of people who are living in a squeezing-condition between self-imprisonment and self-release: it’s full of desires for ownning substance outside the wall but loneliness and selfishness inside(the wall), the dealing between people is never so hard to define, traditionally it’s the need of people because of defferent social role, but nowadays, every human being as a separate social unit is a consuming machine, we can say the desires of the past-age people were influenced by the politics, but now are imprisoned by the things which even is more important than the economy, the traditional square cities which were surrounded by the walls and the rivers don’t play its original role of stopping the aggressors and don’t exsist any more, but have been taken place of modern ones and changed into more and more pieces of small boxes - homes, the so-called city civilization imprisons people and forces them into these private narrow spaces, every home has a door in the wall which only can be openned by the key, under this condition it seems people can have their own safety and freedom in hand, human beings don’t play the group-staying roles as animals any more, but have their private territory as in a prison or in a jail, the inside and the outside of the wall is like a kind of empty conceipt, the defference of two wall-sides is: the defferent views, the defferent moods, the scenery inside looks comfortable with garden and villas, on the contrary, the view of the outside makes you upset.The city looks like Euope, the contryside looks like affrica, the mixture of the society is the right multiform contemporary art scene
All the works in this exhibition diagrammed the contradiction or conflict caused by the existence circumstances, the defferent art forms means the defference of artists’ attitudes on life, art comes from the life but in a higher level, the artists should keep some distance from the true life, because the closer you are to it the heavier you will be hurt by it, the distance makes the good. The artists’ creation intention such like the doubt or the questions upon the true life must be directly caused and learnt from the existence circumstances, probably it’s that the artists themselves prefer to chose such kind of a free and society-edge life, this case makes artists unconsciously keep some distance from the noise and disturbance of age. The inside and the outside is not a limitation in the true life but mostly it’s a must-choice, and the most important for the artists is by what key to open the door in the wall.
