这是马军的第三个油画个展在上海顶层画廊举办，马军的抽象油画色彩艳丽，画面奔放，震撼视觉，尺幅更大，展示了马军在抽象油画领域不懈的追求，旺盛的创作才能和精益求精的艺术态度。

以心造画
马军的所有作品在其丰富绚丽的色彩和其独特的油画形式感中始终贯穿着深厚的中国传统的人文精神，他的作品是对东西方美术史的叙述，作为一位中国画家，他运用纯粹西方的手段恰到好处地表达了中国文化之精髓，其作品是对当代油画全新的阐述。
综观其前期作品：以物造画；其画面的张力及其绘画语言和形式感已相当稳定，具备了成熟的绘画风格；艺术作品的创作难在其创造及突破，更难在突破自己，我们从马军的作品中能够感受到其对自我的审视，每批作品都能从自我的痕迹中挣扎突显出全新的语言并且深深地刻下了心路历程的烙印。
以心造画；这批新作同样运用极至的色彩，流动的黑色以布面油画的形式创作的，但是画面给与观众的感受完全不同，其创作的源泉完全来自与画家内心深出的心意，与以往的画面效果完全不同，画面中的各种绘画元素随着极具张力的色彩和谐而又独具个性的展现给观众完成了一次艰难的自我突破。

Painting from the Heart and Soul
All the works of John Ma is characterized by the profound Chinese traditional humanistic spirit behind the rich colors and his unique sense of form in the oil paintings, narrating the eastern and western art history. As a Chinese painter, John presents the essence of the Chinese culture by means of purely western techniques and expresses a completely new description on the contemporary oil painting.
In view of the early works of John Ma, painting based on the objects, with well-established impressive effect, strong sense of form and mature art style, the great difficulty in the process of production is the creation and breakthrough, or even to conquer and defeat the painter himself. I can feel his self-review in his works. Each of his works fully displays a newborn language with trails of a struggle as well as a brand of the long course that he has gone through.
Painting from the heart and soul---the new works also apply the colors successfully, the flowing black is created in the form of oil on canvas; however, it leaves the audience a totally different impression. It is inspired and created from the depth of the heart and soul of the painter with a different visual effect. All the factors in the painting are integrated perfectly with vigorous and harmonious colors and unique personality to exhibit another breakthrough he has achieved.
