展览前言: 
　　刘纯海生于1966年，毕业于哈尔滨师范大学美术系版画专业。如同大多数的他这一代的艺术家，他深受政治波普艺术运动的影响。他早期借用报纸等材质创作版画，后来开始创作实验油画。刘纯海的作品已经超越了政治波普，并进入了流行文化的框架。那些影像最终去除了影像本身的政治信息，仿佛是一本刚看完的漫画。粗体的线条，生动的颜色，以及对后文革艺术的敬意。

Liu Chunhai was born in 1966 and studied printmaking at the Art College of Harbin Normal University. Like many painters from his generation, he was heavily influenced by the art movement of Political Pop. He started printing propaganda images on newspaper, then began experimenting with oil on canvas. Liu Chunhai’s paintings have transcended Political Pop and have entered the frame of popular culture. The images, finally devoid of its political message, seem fresh out of a comic book. Thick lines and bold, vivid colors. Homage to the post – Cultural Revolution art.
