刘力国的艺术表现出一种内在的双重性，它既有对于中国式的粗俗和渗透小农文化的现代性的批判和讽刺的一面，同时也有对于这种本土变种的现代性的力量感和革命性活力一种由衷的自我认同。
 
Within the work of Liu Liguo there exists an intrinsic duality. As much as he scoffs at and critiques Chinese modernity, with its crass and bucolic tendencies, one also senses the artist’s sincere identification with the spirit of revolution and the visceral variations of that modernity.
