Miami's first international Asian contemporary art fair will make its debut this December from the 4th-7th in the prestigious Wynwood Art District. Building on the economic success and cultural boom of Asia, ART ASIA brings together over 60 leading international galleries to showcase the finest examples of paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, mixed media, installations, and video from both established and emerging Asian artists. Participating exhibitors include galleries from Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and The Middle East, making this a truly global event.

SCOPE, Miami's original contemporary art fair, returns for its seventh year to Miami this December. Expanded in size and global in reach, SCOPE will host 88 exhibitors from 22 countries in a new 60,000 square foot pavilion. SCOPE's venue is centrally located in the Wynwood Art District, convenient to the Rubell Family Collection, the Margulies Collection, as well as Miami's top galleries.

"Kansas City dealer Byron Cohen has booths in both Scope and Art Asia. He is showing more established Chinese artists like Feng Zhengjie and Wang Huaxiang in Scope, and emerging talents in Art Asia. Cohen sold a large painting by Wang Huaxiang, Tied Up Slave (2008), and a monumental work by Ma Baozhong, Rise and Fall (2008), which was on view recently at the Shanghai Biennial. The dealer is not revealing prices of sold work but will say that he has done "over a million dollars of business" at Scope, which is impressive for a satellite fair."
